FULL DESCRIPTION

10.00 am  to 10.30 am Opening Welcome & Intention Setting

Sit down, relax and share a hot drink with us. We will introduce ourselves and the intent for ex:hale. This is a day for you to breathe out and let go of any anxiety and stress.

We invite you to bring a journal with you and will pose some questions for you to think about during your day.

10.30 am to 10.40 am Grounding Breath work and Visualisation with Rachel

Practicing conscious breath work can change how you feel and help you manage anxiety and stress. You will learn a simple grounding breath and be guided through a grounding meditation to settle your mind and body.

Rachel Bednarski is a yoga teacher and wellbeing writer.

10.40 am to 11.40pm Guided Self Massage & Embodied Dynamic Yoga with Sara

Emotional tension is stored in our body as muscular tightness and, sometimes, pain. You will be guided you through a relaxing self massage practice to release tension in the body, in particular focusing on the neck and shoulders.

The massage will flow naturally into an embodied yoga practice to open the chest and heart, helping you let go of any physical and emotional stress.

This practice is suitable for all levels.

Sara Smyth is a yoga teacher, wellbeing writer and massage therapist, specialising in wellbeing for women.

11.40 pm to 11.50 pm Body Scan Meditation with Sara

A 10 minute guided meditation to draw awareness to your body. Time for you to lie back and relax.

11.50 to 12pm Rest Break with hot drinks.

12pm to 12.30pm Everyday Mindfulness / Workshop with Amanda

What is mindfulness, how does it benefit it us and how can we incorporate mindfulness into our busy mum lives?

1.45pm to 2.15pm Eating for energy / Workshop with Amanda

What foods should we eat and avoid if we want to boost our vitality?

An overview of the most energy-giving foods, simple meal ideas for the whole family and quick pick me up snacks for mums.

3.15pm – 3:30pm Calming breathing session + future self meditation with Amanda

2.30pm to 3.15pm Discussion Group & Journalling

4.15 pm to 4.30 pm Rest Break

3.30 pm to 4.30 pm Shake-out + Yin Yoga with Rachel

Shake Out is a fun, free, powerful practice of intuitive movement to release stress and the stuck energy we hold in our bodies to great music! Rather than the overly guided classes we’re used to taking, Shake Out invites you let go of the idea of being ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ and worrying about how you look and instead guides you to tune into your own body and let it lead you towards what FEELS good!

Yin yoga is every mum’s dream—even if you don’t know it yet!

We live in a world of yang energy: activity, momentum, work, noise, stress, hustle. In yin yoga, we surrender to the opposing energy of yin — the rest, surrender, peace, and stillness. It’s the antidote to modern motherhood.

You’ll be guided through a series of long hold postures on the floor using blankets, props and gravity to gently open, stretch, and release the body whilst giving the mind space to slow down, too.

4.30pm to 4.45 pm Closing Thanks & Goody Bag

We are sending all our mama tribe home with goodies to keep the wellbeing flowing.

This will include lovely items in a goody bag AND complimentary online wellness offerings.
